rib leaning to starboard

for only about 20 secs or so my rib seemed to lean over and it felt dificult to get out of this.without really turning hard over.
i felt maybe it was the current and forgot about it but it got me thinking why..
cud it be a lot of water in the bilge ?
anyone had the same problem ?

My first thought was water in the hull, do you have an access hatch or can you take it out of the water to undo the drain plug to check?

have you checked your engine propellor trim tab is in the right position? If it is a right handed prop the back leading edge will almost definitely be on the port side. (i.e the tab will be pointing to starboard). You can check the bilges for water easily enough to rule that out. Have you had the rib long, has it always done this or just started?

rib leaning

thank you all for the input.
previously i had taken out the drain plug and was amazed how much water was in the bilge. so maybe need to look at my bilge pump.
last tango"s idea of a bit of a swell was my first thought as after about 30 secs it went and i didnt get that lean again all day.
if the first thought then where is the water coming in from ???
the hull is sound.
is the drain plug water tight ?
it has a longish fine thread so i cant imagine water ingress. it was suggested the thread should be greased ?
cant imagine where else water could enter in..well that much anyway.
suggestions welcome guys.

What size is your outboard and what size rib? If you are a little over powered and you were trimmed right in the torque from your engine could create your problem. Trimmed a little out will resolve it

Was the nose down too? I’ve had boats lean quite excessively with following swell. Steering is always less as your speed through water is slow as you are travelling with the swell too. Sounds normal if it was a one off
