re tube advice

Can any one recomend someone to re tube my ol' Osprey 5.6 hard nose, within North Wales or N.west?

Any one know (roughly) how much re tubing will be?

What's the best colour to have?

Should the tubes of a rib not leak at all? (eg) mine leak to flat in approx 7 days, are they really knackered if this happens?

Thanks all

Ian have you had boats retubed at multiple places? - or do you have some other reason to believe that Henshaws are actually any beter than any other professional tube builder?

I can vouch for Henshaws, they did a great job retubing my Crompton although I can't compare them to anyone else.

Whoever supplies Ospreys would be the obvious choice as they will have all patterns etc and can probably quote over the phone.

Henshaws were excellent with my old Ribtec too. They were more than happy to advise on what was worth doing based on the age of the boat and came up with a great result without wanting to do a Rolls royce that the boat didn't warrent.

Eurocraft do the Ospreys

They did mine it may not be a Rolls Royce job but I'm happy and have not had to add any air for 10 months

They did a retube for me before and it was not the best, I complained they sorted it including collecting and returning it to me 150 miles each way, so I'd use them again you just need to chase them up on turn around times
