You need some proper trunking on that. As it is, it does need sealing/taping up.

Whoever spiral wrapped it needs their knuckles rapping too. I know installing new rigging tubes isnt' that easy, but there's no excuse for what they did there.

i assume it was RC that done it, could be wrong though.

ideally i want to install a tube but it is a job for end of the season, not the start.

so for now, i'm going to tape it up and call it good until the end of the season.

where is best place to get the trunking?

cheers

See if there's a specific kit for Suzukis. If there is, it'll make a much neater job.
The one for my Opti for example came with a proper threaded deck fitting that the trunk screws into.

If Suzuki don't sell one, the Opti kit isn't a wallet buster and should have plenty of room in as it's meant to take 2 fairly thick oil lines as well as the controls and fuel.

Nos, where did you get the liquid neoprene from? I'd thought about using a flexible potting compound or similar.

that's what i used Dave from rs components ex-panda foam round the cables then topped off with potting compound i glassed a toilet outlet around the cables to raise it 4 inches instead of a witches hat only because the old one had perished and didn't like the split ones.
my trunking is 4 inch land drain so completely drains into the bilge and out to the well.
for threading i use a conduit threader basically a long rigid plastic cable with a hole in to tie to and a bobble that rides over cables works really well.

It's Black Witch. (IIRC that's liquid neoprene). It's stood up very well.

Love that solution!

I did mine by layering them up with gaff tape to get the same result, but it's a pain in the neck to get it and the glue off afterwards.
