Plymouth Sound Monday 1st June?

If anyone is about on Monday first thing in the morning, I would really appreciate a follow and potential tow boat.

As per other threads the RIB is booked in for a service at the Yacht Haven Drystack (Lewis Marine), the boat is afloat in Stonehouse and so I plan to motor round and up the river for the lift out.

However the engine is losing power and stalling on a couple of minutes cycle, so it may be hit at miss getting round. I have checked the TPS (cause of previous issues), manifold balance and changed the plugs but it is still running like a bag of spanners.

Very happy to pay for fuel for an accompanying boat, if you are out and about early.

Haven’t you got a mildly large rib? Only down the road but not sure a zapcat is suitable!?

Its a 6m cat, so not too hefty a beast. Main main worry is drifting into someone important’s way while restarting. A nudge and wiley-eyed lookout would be awesome!

That’s not too bad at all, give me a good excuse for a blat around the bay/sound as I haven’t before. Let me know tomorrow eve if you need the assistance. I’ll also need guidance as to where to launch/park.

Awesome, thank you

There is a decent slip between Blagdons and Mayflower, but LW is 0830 and I was hoping to be away at 0730 so the mud/water ratio might not be in our favour.

Any proper locals got any suggestions of where to launch?

Corrr that’s an early launch. Should be fine. I’ll have a look for slips.

Looking at it with the tide I reckon I’ll go for mount Batton. Plenty of parking and fine with the low water. Drop me a message and can sort numbers etc.

All good, thanks CM

And thank you to Allye, they were launched ahead of time and waiting for me as I chugged past the Barbican! Made it without issue under own power to the YHQ pontoon, so all good.

Hope all is well for the Pasty Run!
