New Steering Wheel fitment

Hi,

I am looking to replace the steering wheel on my Cobra 7.55. I have looked on the internet and lots of people talk about a tapered hub... is this all I need or are all steering systems different and I wont know what hub I have until I take the old one off? The engine is a Suzuki 250 if that changes anything...

Thanks, Andrew

You need to identify the helm pump first, I'm assuming its hydraulic steering on a boat that size.

Basically, you want a wheel with a 3/4 tapered socket slotted to take a 3/16 wide key, pretty standard.
