Ian,

This build is ridiculous. The quality, effort, detail etc is phenomenal. I thought I had achieved a lot with my RIB build (http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?...=super+student) but yours puts mine to shame making it seem very amateurish and mickey mouse! I feel a new project brewing to try and win back the prestigious Best RIB Build trophy!

Anyways, I'm interested in those Fox shocks you have. They look too small to be for the automotive industry and they certainly aren't for mountain bikes, which shocks are they? For ATVs perhaps? What are the made out of (shafts and bearing)? Are they going to be able to cope with the salt water and sand? I would also be interested to know if you got them in the uk or if you had to order them from the US and the cost? Feel free to PM me if you wish.

Keep up the good work and the updates!

Cheers

Tim

Having found more info on the fox site, it seems you have the 2.5 series air shock which is used for offroad buggies, but what is it made of and do you think it will put up with the demands of a salt water environment?

Aren't they filled with Nitrogen, if so how do you adjust them or do you have to buy a bottle of Nitrogen to pump them up or down?

Jim

If not you should have a look at Skua Ribs. Looks exactly like the Patriot console.

Skua RIBS in Action- Skua RIBs
