Seen a few around now in East Ferry 2 wks ago and in Kinsale. These are Joe McCollam's (formerly of Redbay) RIBs and are built only 10 mins from me. They look very serious boats and I really like the look of that high bow. Should give Marine Motors' Redbays some competition down here!!

Nice boats must price one and see how they compare to the UK market.

Can I say this has absolutely nothing to do with me? Last night I was minded to send a solicitor's letter claiming breach of copyright, patent infringement under EU directives etc. but then I calmed down, with the help of a few gins and would like to wish ye all the best from the one and only original gaelforce. Go n-éirí libh - fad saol.

What A "RIB"

I took delivery of a 7.0 m Excaliber with a 225 Mercury optimax this August, Before this I had a 6.8 m Lencraft with a 150 Mercury optimax and I thought I was Ribbing , Now I am really Ribbing , It's not what the Excalibur boat can take , But what my own body can Physically take .The Excalibur can take any speed in any sea. And the design and finish is second to none . I have had many boats in my time but none have ever come close to this one, What I really like is not having to carry extra cans of fuel on board, The under floor 50 gal tank is the bussiness. Well done lads @ Excalibur.

No it can't, that's a ludicrous claim!

It certainly sounds like you're well pleased with the boat, but if you're making wildly exaggerated claims about the handling, what should we believe about the rest of what you say?

I'm not really having a go at you (although it probably sounds like I am!), but this sort of description is one of my pet hates.

How does the price compare with other makes?

John

Happy Ribber

Yes John , I may sound over joyed about my new purchase. What I am saying that I am Ribbing for many years now and that I have been at the helm of many a Rib ( Different makers, Different lengths ) and what I am saying that I am travelling at Higher speeds with greater peace of mind. And also I would like to add that if you are ever in the Kinsale area you are more than welcome to travel with me to see my point. And other proud owners of Excalibur Ribs would share my view I'm sure. Thank you for your comments Ronan
P.s Value for money I found very good for what I got, Compared to other companies.

Great to see the Cork RIBbing community growing and supporting each other.

The RIBbing presence at Cork Week must be becoming more and more prominent.

Hope we'll make it there next time.

Ronan, can you post some pics of your RIB so I can keep an eye out for you on the water??

Saw an excalibur RIB with a 225 Optimax(I think??) in East Ferry a few weeks ago. Looked very nice. Was it you??

We would have been in a 6m XS-Rib with 150 Optimax on the back just leaving as you were tying up. Pic of my boat below, give me a wave if you see me. Wouldn't mind a look at your Excalibur up close!!

An Open Invite!

Now that we have the company up and running and have a number of boats from 6.5m up to 8.0m on the water, we would like to take this oportunity to invite any of you that may be in the Cork area in the future to give us a call. We would be more than happy to take you for a run in one of the boats.
Also good to see that Ronan is taking it easy with his new boat!

Hey Joe, may give you a call in the new year. Kinda busy at the moment with college/ work. Boats look well!! I've seen a few about including Tsunami while having its service done at Marine Motors back along. I was v. impressed by the quality of the fit out and would love to see how they handle. Anyways, I'm just over the road in Carrigaline so should see you out on the water over the Winter months. Am I correct in assuming your manufacturing works are in Riverstick??

We might take you up on that in 2005 tsunami.

If it's Riverstick...easy peasy. Kinsale is lovely .
