Thanks guys. You might see that there are still some things to do to finish, but not much to make it sea-worthy
I guess I should come clean - the handsome chap that you can see in the snaps is not me
I am afraid that I got fed up working under a leaky tarpaulin, and the recent winds split it. This I took as a sign, and did not finish the boat myself, but handed it over to Kieron of Ribshop who did a sterling job; I am really very grateful to him. It is he that is at the controls. He took on quite a number of jobs, from fitting the treadmaster deck covering, wiring and steering, to arranging for the engine to be PDIed.
So, all that we have done today is a short trip up the river to check out all the functions. Yes Brad, I am very pleased. Initial impressions - I cannot believe how quiet the e-tec is, takes a bit of getting used to after my old Optimax. But why the hell have they put the tell-tale out the back, amazing how re-assuring that little spurt of water out of the side of the engine is! Mind, with the e-tec it is a bit more than a tell tale, more like the jet from a small fire hose
Looking forward to that first proper cruise.
So now I've got the boat close to sorted, er that rules the roost says she wants an extension to the house
No, she wants it this century, so a proper builder is doing it
