Dan, I believe that there are three non-stepped Scorpion mould shapes - the 6.5 (no longer made - a friend of mine had the last one) the 7.5 to 9.5 and the wider 10m. Then there are the stepped hulls, which I guess will have different moulds again.

just been and seen this boat, guy apparently took it away then brought it back to lymington, it has changed somewhat since i last saw it, it now has poorly painted non slip deck and bucket seats are definatly gone. nice hull and tubes, and good deck layout

quite an impresive piece of kit, dog poo seats, but rapiers seem to be a bit of an unknown quantity when it comes to build, history and resale..

am i right??

Revenger actually (Mike Slogit). Originaly Don Shead design, then 'tweaked' by Lorne Campbell to correct dynamic roll stability, then Revenger started the 'sport rib revolution' by puting taperd toobs round it to create their original 27, then every fkkr stole it and claimed it to be 'theirs'! The rest is history.

Some things never change.

And The Answer Is

Hi there, the boat was kept in the Mediterranean. I have never tried to see what its top speed would be. However, the Garmin GPS system has recorded speeds of 92 knots, which equals 101.2 mph.
Thanks for looking! Best regards,
