I had a Mako and it was proved to be built badly so be careful if you are considering buying a Mako.

These guys went bust. Didn't they?? I know of someone in Greece who lost 50-60K Euro over this. Paid for the boat 2 years ago and still waiting for it. So he says.
Marios IMHO buy boat that you can find the dealers at your door step (From anywhere in Europe is close enough. However, further afield is BIG MISTAKE! I have 1st hand experience! )

It is almost the same hull as a ballistic but mako are no longer aloud to build them and yes they did go bust.

As far as I know, it's exactly the same. It's the same as the Crompton hull too.

For what it's worth, I think the term "surface effect" is meaningless marketing puff. These hulls do have a pronounced scalloped chine though which makes them fast and dry, but tends to give a rather hard ride.

As for Mako, they do seem to have a UK distributor http://www.mrl-uk.com/ so it might be worth getting int touch to find out the score.

This guy got burned by Mako as well but he still has 1 or 2 hulls left. I say they are slightly differant to the ballistic because at the time they did not have a licence to build ballistic hulls so had to be differant mind you I think that the only differance was that they were 200mm longer !! and that was in the tube I maybe wrong.
