London Boat Show

Just to say it was really nice to see all the Ribnet members I spoke to.

Sorry for those that I missed and did not get chance to speak to.

Hope all that came to the show had a good time.

Big thank you to all that supported Icom at the show.

According to Jeremy Clarkson in the times yesterday:-

"The London Boat Show is not designed for the punters but the sales staff on the stands.
It is so they can get awwy from home for a few days, stay out late, get drunk every night, only get 2 hours sleep and try to s**g the agency girls"

Edited highlights and based on his experience at Motor Shows.
Clearly has no idea about boat shows!!!

Regards

Jon

Yeah, 'cos we all know that everyone working at the boat show drinks nothing but spring water all day then has an early night with a cup of cocoa!

I think clarky is not far wrong, I know which venue I would rather work in, Earls Court was a place for getting ill!

We all here prefer Excel as a venue, much nicer and open.
Trouble with Earls Court was that as we were up in the gods we did not see anyone for a few hours then it was a mad bun fight.
At Excel we get a steady stream of customers all day.

Down side of Excel is the night life.
I think given time we will find all the good places to go after the show.

Regards

To be fair, the fun and games are only a few minutes away on the tube but I think you are right. The only thing with excel is my feet hurt after walking around it, it must be quite a bit bigger than Earls Court.
