I have used Noble marine for the past two years and "touch wood", never had any issues. There was a recent thread for just this thing where loads of insurance names were mentioned, worth a search and worth getting as few quotes first.

What's quite cool is this:-
Quote:
Our policies automatically include loss or damage to all boats up to 30 ft in length (and trailers) whilst in transit by road within the UK/Ireland.
Third party risks whilst on the road are excluded however, as these must be insured under the vehicle insurance to comply with the Road Traffic Act
https://www.craftinsure.net/faq/faq4.asp

I didn't realise on their old site (which was a bit basic)that my boat was covered while towing as well

Mercia Marine. I used to be with Bishop Skinner. Be careful with marine insurance, many will only pay out market value in the event of a total loss. I had my last boat insured with Bishop Skinner for £20k & they took my premium off me accordingly. When I cheked the small print, they only paid market value, regardless of insured value. Mercia pay insured value, AND cover you from the Elbe, to Brest.

Just had a good shop round to renew mine today and willk's came up the cheapest. 12k of cover for £192 and no extra charge for paying monthly £16 a month. I'm well chuffed.

Next renewal date I'll be shopping around and playing them off

Martini, different boats I know, but the wee Quicksilver is on for 60 euro with three million Public Liability cover. God knows I'm a liability...

Hmm. Porthcawl give me £352 for £95k worth of cover, no excess and covers Brest to Elbe as well as all UK and all Ireland.
Brilliant, I reckon.
