How do you dispose of a RIB ???

Hopefully this is a seldom asked question but has anybody ever disposed of a rib?

I've got a 5m Narwhal thats pretty goosed and in my opinion its not worth a retube so how do i get rid of the thing?

It is advertised on ebay for 99p but if that fails or nobody turns up what do i do then!

You could always fill it up with soil then put some bedding plants in it and use it as a feature in your garden

Give it to Whisper & Biffer - they'll turn it into the best ever Narwhal, and they'll be looking for a project for the winter.

If its the Tango one, I predict it will sell.

I know a 6m+ RIB fits neatly in a skip after a few passes with a wall saw.

I agree - I assume it is this one:

Narwhal 5m Rib Hull Boat Project | eBay

Failing that - then a local sea scout / sea cadet group might be interested in it. Even if it is too nackered to repair it would provide a practice boat before you unleash children fixing the group's pride and joy!

Have you considered offering it to a Charity?

Cut up a 4m narwhal and took it to the local tip.

I wouldn't give it to charity, they might think great a free rib at first, but then they've got the hassle of disposing of it, once they realise its useless.

You'll be surprised how easy it is, did mine with a handsaw, in less than 20 minutes I had it in car sized chunks. Did two trips in my car in the end, as I was unsure if theyd let me in with the landy.

We allready have an oversized plant pot!

I think it'll get cut up. Been offered a half decent searider and need it off the trailer.

It's been given a weeks grace cause I've been called out to work for 1 week but after that it'll be getting the air hacksaw and off to the tip!

Wear a good respirator! The dust is not good for your lungs.

Too bad you don't live in the U.S.
Over here all you would have to do is make a "4-Sale $300" sign, put it near the curb and it would be stolen in under an hour.

It's finally away!

A guy brought a trailer and took the damn thing away.

Think he was happy just to get a free boat. I did take £30 for the console and steering so I was happy as well

Wahey!
