Going from Rye round To London Bridge

We are going from Rye E Sussex round Ramsgate and up the Thames on Sunday to Moor in St Katherines Dock where we are booked in for the week. We are going to get fuel in Ramsgate as I think that is the last fuel stop before London? Unless anybody knows any different?

Then we want to find a marina between Ramsgate and Central london to stay the night in a hotel in a pub rich area. Does anybody have experience of this stretch as far as marinas and pubs go. Any other tips would go down well? Thanks in advance.

Downstream of St.Katherines , there is only really Limehouse and Galleons Point
( North Woolwich ) but I wouldn't really recommend either as a pub rich stop over .

You might consider Chatham Marina on the Medway , which does indeed have fuel ( both diesel & petrol ) , a pub/hotel very close by , and probably more drinking holes within striking distance . The " Historic Dockyard " next door may also be worth a visit . Checkout the Medway for speed restrictions before you charge up there ! I'm sure some locals can advise further .

+1 For Chatham. (You might check out Rochester as well). There is a hotel/Pub right at the marina at Chatham. There is really nothing else until you get into London itself.

Great thanks guys. 5 Knot speed limit up to Chatham. So going to go to Gillingham which is a bit closer and has fuel!

Chatham marina is only a short bit further up river than Gillingham, but there's a good pub/hotel called the ship and trades there and quitea few restaurants includinf a really good texmex near the cinema which is a short walk. Gillingham is a bit of a wasteland I'm afraid.

Duh, I mean't Gillingham not Rochester of course. As Thommo says it's really not that much further up the river to Chatham.
