flooding hull ?

hi, quick question, only started ribbing early this year, bought a SR4 with a flooding hull, no problem used and abused it all year, then sold in September, missed it like crazy so just bought another SR4 as a project for the winter.

Now for the bit i need an answer for, on my first one as mentioned it had a flooding hull, big hole in the transom, NOW this "new" one has the hole in the transom as the first one, BUT it also has two smaller holes in the bow, i know on the SR 5.4 it has them, but on a SR4 ??????????? did they ever do that, or has it been modified by a PO ? look forward to your replies

i thought they all had the holes up front, it's so the water flooding out doesn't cause a vacuum

I'd guess it was your first SR4 that was wonky!

Hi, thanks for pointing me in the right direction, just been looking at photos of my first SR4, NO holes in the bow, mmmmmmmm looks like the PO must have filled them up, now it makes sense why i could only get 20 knots out of her, thought it was because i only had an old chrysler 35 on the back, but i must have been motoring along with 1/2 ton water stuck inside her belly.
