When we're running every day as we are at the moment, I simply hose down at the end of the day with a hose to get all the salt off. Once a week I give them a shampoo with some normal car shampoo. Every few weeks/months I spend a bit more time and put some polish (Flagship wax - fantastic stuff) on the console etc, and do the tubes with a bit of TFR followed by some RIBshop tube conditioner.

I quite often chuck some washing powder/liquid into mine and give it a good hose off.It gets all the residues (oil, mud, etc) out very well.

Thanks for that. I used the rib shop cleaner which is excellent stuff and the polished it with the 3M polish which again is great stuff, the tubes came up like new. I always was down with a hose but I was a bit worried about using car soap just incase it damaged the tubes!!

I've just bought this stuff from a camping equipment shop http://fenwicks.info/caravan_cleaner.htm - they claim it's totally safe for rubber and plastics, so I presume it will not harm hypalon! Used it for the first time last week to wash the boat off after a couple of days use. Got the grime off well.
