Hi whats the best and quickest way of getting rid of water in boat,got small rib and always keeping and eye on water coming in when i stop got Elephant trunk system at moment are these ping pong ball bailers any good ,quicker

don't like the ping pong system. Elephant trunks work for me

I may be misreading your post but are you saying that the water is coming over the transom when you stop?

Have you got battery power?

If so, Rule automatic bilge pump. I've had the same one of these working effectively for about 4 years now. I would recommend the pressure sensing type rather than float switch.

Ping pong type ok only for boats not left permanently afloat. - otherwise they get fouled and leak water into the boat.

Had one on my 5.4 Searider and it was fine.

Nellie's trunk and a rule 4000 gallon an hour pump, its a beauty, will really shift the water if you get swamped. Our single nellie's trunk is a bit small by todays standards, the pump was cheap and isnt much bigger in size compared to the others.

Automatic pump in addition is essential as any type of bailer only works when planing (or almost planing).
Bigger is better when it comes to pumps.

I have had good experience with "Water Witch" level switches. Sold by Penquin in Hayling Island.

Where can I source the necessary bits to fit an elephant's trunk or two ie the trunk itself in the requisite colour, and the "skin fitting" to go through the transom?

thanks for replys,elephant,s trunk does work well when moving though i would just like to see an alternative anyone got alink to resonable priced pump,yes have got battery on board

Can someone tell me where i can get ping pong bailers? because i cant fined them anywhere
