Dumfries, Scotland

Hi Guys

was not sure where to post this so trying here, if its wrong place please tell me where to go! (sorry for the pun!)

I will, all going well, be in Dumfries area during August, hopefully with a RIB (but thats another story!). Where would the nearest decent launch site to Dumfries be to launch a RIB for some experience voyages for a group of Scouts who will be getting their first experience on a RIB.

Thanks

Shane

It's great for the kids no one looking over your shoulder for camp fires etc (as long the place is treated with respect) and friendly people.

I've been there a long time ago - doubt its big enough to keep a group of Scouts happy for more than an hour - unless there is some training being done in boat handling etc.

thanks for the feedback folks,we already have accom sorted out, the scouts going will all be over 18 on a work party at a local scout centre so the rib run is intended to be a reward for them for the week (if an expensive one thanks to ferry fares!)

The slipway at Kippford was what I was looking for just a matter now of getting charts for the area to see what its like.

Thanks

Shane
