confession time

I have just returned from a weekend during which I committed an act that may be percieved by some as unforgivable. I seek forgiveness and hope I will still be made welcome on this forum and not cast adrift into the internet abyss. I have crossed to the dark side and bought a boat that does not have any blow up bits. It does however have lots of comfy bits and a sodding great 220hp motor that should make it go like stink. I love my RIB to bits and will surely have dewy eyes when I have to part with it. Unfortunately my wife does not share my enthusiasm for rough and ready boating and wants more on board luxuries and a marina berth so her days out don't all start with her stood semi submerged in a drysuit.

PS does anyone want to buy a lovely well equipped 5m Humber Assault?

It took me a while to pluck up the courage to tell you guys and gals and I fully understand your reactions, however does anyone have any tips on how to break the news to my rufty tufty diving mates that as of next week I will be seen at sea on a three piece suite with an inboard, built in cool box and CD player. I'm doomed, a social leper I'll never be able to show my face in the divers pubs again.

You know you will end up selling it next year and go back to ribs . So why not save the aggro and keep the Humber. Even put it in a marina to avoid the drysuit thing!
