I found this clamp - for £10.99 - I allready have a benbo swivel head for a tripod so i think all i need is to bolt the 2 together.

What is the thread on a standard camera mount so I can buy a stainless bolt for it.

It's a US outfit, but one or two people stock some of their stuff over here. I had a customised set-up made last year by them to mount a marine PC on a yacht - outstanding.

All their kit is modular, and I found them more than helpful (as is very often the case with US suppliers...) when I approached them for a non-standard item. Marine grade alloy and powder coated - too nice to put on a boat really.

I made an adaptor for my video camera by making an plate for my hand held GPS mount. The GPS mount is made by RAM, just replaced the GPS cage with a cut down flash extension arm to give you a tripod type screw mount. It was fun but the video footage was too bumpy to be of much use an any speed.
