Bwm rib

Hello everyone this is my first thread was just wondering if anyone had any information on BWM ribs(Early 90's i think). Myself and my brother recently bought a 6.9m BWM rib fitted with a yamaha 250hp V6 (1999 i think). Just wondering if anyone knows the maximum engine size for the transom as the boat sits very low in the water and has a tendancy to slowly sink down over time untill the transom top is bout 1" below the water line.

250 on a 6.9 is a fairly hefty lump however I would be more concerned about the whole sinking thing.

Do you have a drain bung in the transom if so maybe it is leaking and letting water into the hull hence the sinking.

If not then I guess you need to check the hull for cracks or holes.

Hi Keith - BWM did not produce a 6.9m but there were people counterfeiting the BWM's around that time.
The maximum engine we would put on a 6m Rib would be 150hp a little more for the 2 stroke version the Yamaha V6 is a very heavy lump 2 stroke or otherwise.
If you need more advice on this you can call me on 01189885959.
