Hi Tim, for sure and for longer this time say at least 2 nights but not camping . A nice hotel in Guernsey would be my choice .

As you can see from the posted photos the rib is getting near to the completion date. The engines will be received on Tuesday and installation will begin soon after. The A frame still needs to be installed, grab rail around the windscreen, lifelines , steering helm, diving platform over the drives, bench seat on the engine box and the cushions

Andre, this seemed like it moved pretty quickly - what usual time to build, start to finish?

Nice build - you'll have no excuse for the C.I. trip now!

The Mercury Diesel Outboard is really interesting too - do you have any running time on one yet? I'm most curious as to how they have worked out in the real world. They'd be a big hit off the west coast if the reliability was there...

Cheers , The CI are on the agenda for sure.

As for the diesel outboard then this engine can only be sold to the military and commercial bodies. we are yet to test it and the delay is because it is still winter in Poland and we are waiting for the controls and gauges from Brunswick Marine

the usual time is 10/12 weeks . we have at the moment a space problem due to the vast production of hard boats. Plant no 2 will be up and running by August. There will be 3 assembly halls and one will be for ribs only.
I was lucky because I hit a production window and if the engines had been received two weeks ago the rib would have been completed if not this week then next week for sure. I am in no hurry but want delivery in the UK at the end of March. I want them to put on some engine hours prior to shipment. I will for sure go over to help with that.

Delays suck - I was waiting ages for my Yanmar. You should give the Distributor some gip!

sorry Poly but I somewhat missed your question. Yes you are correct here . This has also hit the Mercury Diesel 2.8 & 4.2 . They are now no longer available for the leisure market.

I always wonder how access for servicing is for twin stern drive applications. When you drop in the engines, please take a picture! (What's the beam, again?)

Keep up the good work!
