Not only did I get cold fingers today my toes also suffered in my £10 dunlop wellies

What footwear is popular with everyone, again ebay has quite a lot listed like these Crewsaver ones below...

thats the sort of boot i have

i did not want to shed out all the ££££ for dubarrys which i beleve are probably a lot better for keeping warm

these would be better than your wellies, wellies are terrible for keeping your feet warm

I have a pair of Musto M1 wellies - they are great but I don't think they make them any more, which is a pity as they weren't too expensive. I also have a pair of Dubarry's which I also like a lot, although the price is a bit steep!

I don't think those GUL boots will be much wammer than wellies. I was using a pair of boots very similar looking to those guls over the weekend (not sure what make they where) and my feet were frozen - not a patch on my Musto HPX boots.

You really need Leather/fabric type boots for warmth.

£10 wellies are rubbish for keeping your feet warm (believe me I know, down here) but £10 wellies with a thick pair of woollen hiking socks underneath are pretty good

That, thinsulate gloves and my flotation suit mean I can cheerfully go out in winter with no problems with the cold. Just get too darned hot at this time of year
