birdwell flipper radar reflector

Hi folks just brought a birdwell flipper radar reflector to put on the A frame.
The insructions say to mount it 4 metres from sea level. But i can only gain
2 metres, its about the same size and dia as the eco-max. my question is
at 2 metres will this be adequate. as obviously it is supposed to be mast
mounted. and secondly it is next to my vhf ariel and gps reciever, is this
practical. any advise gladly recieved.
