They have a very accessible all tides slip in the town.
Cool-is that the slip on Fore street? I seem to remember it being awful narrow on the way to that one but my memories of Salcombe are clouded by being a yachtie at the time and coming ashore after crossing Lyme bay. What sort of price was the mooring for the week?

No, Batson Creek slip is round the back of the town, is wide and easily accessable. Check out boatlaunch.co.uk for details.

Can't remember the mooring fees but the harbour master will.

Cookie (lives in Salcombe) & Nick Hearne (who goes there all the time) are good people to talk to.

I know that we keep banging on about it and if you all turn up it'll be mayhem, but you will have to find something really special to beat the Fal. (see Roycruse's listing on "Where to take a rib?" thread). There is nowhere in the southwest that comes close. It's worth going the extra mile.

May i suggest Dartmouth, accessible slip at all tides, trailer parking directly opposite and good pubs up the river. I'm sure you've probably already been here though!

Between Fowey & Falmouth got it all for the family, plus launching on it's own beach

Did 2 weeks in Salcombe this summer. launched every day. Slip is thye best I have ever used, although things do get frantic particularly during regatta weeks. Boat Park staff are really friendly and helpful although storing a rib of more than 6 metres would be difficult. The parking spaces are set up for smallish sailing dinghys
The cruising is fab with Plymouth and Dartmouth less than an hour away (flat out!!)
PS Watch out for the local Yawl crews they are ba*^"!?s on the slipway

Hope this helps

Andrew
