Can only comment on local to me really but Teignmouth (Polly steps) is a very good slip except low water where its shallow and green £10 approx for day loads of space for parking and wash off facilities. Torquay is relatively steep and you feel like you have to go through passport control to use it now with the barriers etc etc Exmouth is very steep and a PITA for parking (limited spaces) Brixham is good out of season but road to the slip in season is also a pain with coaches but nice slip cant remember price off top of the head.

They don't look after you guys very well in the Uk do they
Here in San Diego all launch ramps are free and so is the parking.
We do have to pay a yearly fee to register our RIBs ($20 ) but that's about it.
Just in Mission Bay waterpark, we have 4 public ramp locations
San Diego Bay, another 4.

Sample below, that I recorded a few years back (turn your speakers on )
Just click "Watch this slidestory" if you want the full ramp guide,or just click on individual slides to check the ramps.

Slidestory Boat Launch Ramps in San Diego

I agreee 100% In France, most slips are free & well maintained + the parking is free. You can always depend on us in the UK to rip ourselves off at every opportunity. The problem here, is that most harbours are private property & the owners can charge what they like.

War would break out over here if they tried charging for launching.

Driving over a piece of concrete should be a right, not a costly privilege

hi vandad...fellow londoner!! its a bit of a tight fit, but have you tried the slip way in shoreham harbour?? free parking for boat and trailer ,a fee to use the lock , 24 hr access and you would be fine with a 2 wheel drive motor! great bass fishing in the summer....cheers rob
