Bembridge Marine Hire ribs

A couple of seasons ago we noticed in these less buoyant times some of our clients who had been happy to keep a rib with us for an entire season, to use it for only three weeks peak season decided it was time to sell.
We were being asked for hire more often. Although are ribs available in the Solent area, the hire charges are set ( due to the hi quality of the ribs) at the high end. Most of the clients wanted to chase kids in dinghy's, BBQ on the beach and not be paranoid about sand etc getting in the boat and the dinghy's marking the fender.
We purchased three used Ribs, all are well maintained. We currently have a Ribcraft 6.5 ( reduced 7.5 version) a Leeway 6.5 and a Humber 5.5. They are used looking but we just want you to enjoy using them so the odd bump and scratch is no problem. We charge £100 per day for the Humber and £110 per day for the Other two + vat, you pay for the fuel ( Red portable cans so you can re fill if you chose ). Over 21, RYA PB2 and above needed. We have good insurance cover £500 excess. If you were to bash it we will look at realistic repair used parts etc if we can find them ( not props!).Happy to do a deal off season for a few days.
They have been out for ten weeks solid this season, so we will add to the fleet this winter with two 6 meter Cutter hulls.
Just for your info We are reverting to our official registered name of Bembridge Marine LTD from trading as Bembridge Outboards which no longer reflects what we do.
Any interest give us a ring / email.

Great to hear about the business Jim. Sounds like a good recipe, no wonder you are busy already with it.

Jim, that's a really interesting concept. If it was closer to me, at that price I'd seriously consider flogging my boat and just hiring.

I'll be calling in 2013. Like the fact they are to be used..not looked at, and that you really don't need super equipped boats for a good fun day out.

Sounds good. What motors do they have?

Have you decided what the day rate will be on the cutters?

Hi Jim , I sold her two years ago to a friend of a friend so still got to use it .

He sold it about 11 months ago and she was taken by trailer to Portchester and sold to 'somone' -I have no idea who. Fantastic boat Still hitting 50knts and looking good when she went. The last owner I think stuck an Ali prop on it - which destroyed the performance - but then ran aground at 25knts so worried about gearbox damage etc... Ali it was after that.
