Atlantic 21 Project

Atlantic 21 project

Well took the plunge for another challenge

Josh’s Atlantic 21 here we go!

Sat 4.30am Birmingham to Colchester #eck me, not a good start awoke to a cold minus 7 went to collect our Luton van from work, not a drop of oil in it, no problem fetch oil from home top up, only droped the engine Oil cap down the back of the engine, can I see it can I #uck lying on a concrete floor minus 7 not good at 4.30am trust me. finally found it lodged on the engine tray,
hey ho lets go,, only to get to Bury st Edmunds to break down with a major diesel leak kin ell, my vehicles are well looked after vehicle had just travelled back from Ireland to Brum then Avimore in Scotland before returning to brum, never squeeked I use it and shit or bust
nursed the wrecked dash board (I had to hit sumat) to Josh’s pitch, where upon it was evident we had a corroded/perished high pressure diesel pipe,s
sorted out all my bits with Josh paid him some of my hard earned
loaded all of the parts that he had collated over time,
bid fare well with the intention that the engine hull sponsons will be collected later on with a different vehicle
All the way home van still leaking diesel from corroded high pressure pipe any thing under 55 was fine over that and it was all over, needless to say bloody slow getting home,

Project,
Atlantic 21 hull
Mariner 200HP

The hull as undergone some bloody intensive repair work looks brand fire new,

Henshaw tubes are in excellent condition

XS new extra wide double console 4 x single and 2 x double jockeys

Lots of spares given with the craft makes life easy for me.

First job
Strip a frame weld up shed loads of holes and re powder coat (may not use this)

lay up console for instruments etc,

Make wind shield

Cut tops of seat bases chuff me no shortage of glass in this lay up trust me

Send down the lads with hi-ab to collect the hull n tubes

Fibre glass goods and marine ply orderd, should arrive approx same time as the hull tomoz.. cant wait to get started on it

Will keep updating as and when I can
