Anyone recommend the Spinlock Deckvest?

Hi

Just about to buy a Spinlock Deckvest and wondered if anyone has any experience of them - good or bad. Seem to have got the price down to around £180 (hammer version) inc P&P on the net which seems reasonable to me.

What do you think?

We use them and find them extremely comfortable.

Also look at the Ocean Safety Kru range. They are also very good but I haven't worn one all day. They are more of a waistcoat design.

I have an Ocean Safety Kru Sport Pro lifejacket which at under £90 is great value and extremely comfortable.
However, if price is not an issue I would go for the Spinlock Deckvest, it does appear to be the dog's bo____ks !!

Big fan of the Kru's - we have worn them for long periods (a couple of weeks every day) and they are the most comfortable I have worn - no experience of the Spinlocks but they do seem expensive.

We have harnesses in the new boat so it will be interesting to see what is best for theat.

Here we go again. One vote for the Crewsaver 190N as an alternative

Spinlock are very comfortable, I wore mine for the best part of 5 months this season and you do notice the difference after a few days on the trot. The extra adjustments also give it a quite secure feel.

However I only paid £110 for mine (through the RYA) and in honesty Im not sure I would pay full wack for one over a kru or Crewsaver top of the line jacket.

I know that Devon is in a different time warp but two weeks every day is brilliant.

I wouldn't need to live to 150 to do everything if I has two weeks in every day!

Spinlock are excellent, we work in them and they are comfortable even after long days.

I bought a Crewsaver 190N and my mate bought a Spinlock, his is more comfortable but as soon as he bough it back in September (southampton boat show) it was shortly recalled for a bladder modification. I'm not saying it was a bad thing but make sure yours if you buy it has got the Mod incorporated.
