Anyone familiar with the Helmatic Pacific?

I am working in a Law firm in London and am currently dealing with a client who whilst working for the Navy in 1993 injured himself whilst boarding a Pacific Class RIB.

I believe the particular model was a Pacific 22 and I would like to hear from anyone who has knowledge of this type of boat - in particular any details on the metal cleat (and any safety measures associated to it) would be most helpful.

Should you be able to provide any useful information, please email me directly at dlodge@altheimer.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you.

Alex,

Thank you for your reply.

Sorry for the mis-spelling. This is my first dealing with RIBs so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the subject.

The model my client boarded was a Pacific Class as used by the Navy in 1993. He slipped upon boarding, hitting his head on the cleat causing severe head injuries to the forehead and eye area.

I dont have any details on the name or type of the cleat im afraid. I have a photograph infront of me - all I can say is that its a large metal free standing device which is rectangular in shape, held in place by four metal screws. However by your email response it appears that there are a choice of cleats rather than a standard model, is that correct?

Hey Alex!

What was your reply? Why didn't you post it here where we can all read it?

John
