Anchor storage query

Hi all.

I own a 4m Searider, which is getting a slight makeover these days, and I've encountered a problem which I wasn't able to solve easily.

How should I store my Anchor whilst underway on the water?
I used to store mine in a small bag up front, which led to it hopping around and either hurting people or damaging the boat.

I don't have the option of an anchor locker, and I'd be interested to find out how you guys store your anchors on open RIBs.

Thanks

One solution is a builders bucket up in the bow- with anchor, chain and warp flaked into it. Can be lashed down, also quite easy to fit in / out.

Anchor storage query

I use an arborist bag for rope and chain, anchor can go inside or tied on top.

I use a smallish gorilla tub with some 1" holes drilled around the edge. They are about £5 each. I then bungee the whole lot down to the deck.

& it is a great help
but for those of us clueless newbies, a picture speaks a thousand words !
Especially if they sell numerous brands & types !

& for the sake of the one person posting the link , 20 others who read the thread can clearly see what you mean

Thanks, I had actually checked it out but wasn't sure it was that one !
Looks good for draining the water out but does it protect the floor ! (I know its sat on the rope which will cushion if it doesn't move
I was thinking of using out our recycle bin but the builders bucket do have the softer base ! (i knew If I didnt find a pic for it I would get some stick ! )

If I hadn't used the bag I would have gone for the gorilla bucket from B&Q as they are flexible and you can cut them to size.

Or go for the pimped version like this and then you don't have to worry about your bucket coming loose and landing in your face!
