Not at all.

Ribeyes command a better resale price than Ospreys.

I have my own experience on this point and have also been advised of the same from several professional Rib dealers.

I am simply pointing out an additional factor that Gotchiguy may wish to consider when selecting his craft.

Utter tosh. How many Osprey's have you sold? Were the 'several professional rib dealers' all Ribeye dealers by any chance?

Tim, What would probably help is if you listed the Original and Resale prices for the Ribeyes and Ospreys you have sold (or % resale of original price) with the age you sold them; people with other experience could do the same and then everyone can make up their own minds.

I assumed that timw was trolling as usual, hoping to get a response from you.

My personal observations haven't shown any indication of Osprey's being in any way difficult to sell. All the Ospreys I have seen in recent years have been very well finished too.

There's nothing much wrong with recent Ribeyes either - there are obviously plenty of people who like them. Whether their ubiquity will help or hinder their long term resale value is debatable.

A quick search will reveal that anything timw has posted in the last year or so has been more for effect than enlightenment.

I think you'll find that there are others far more responsive to timw's trolling than I.
