Are you sure the rear has patches on patches?

My Humber has a second layer of hypalon towards the rear of the tubes. Could be because the tubes sit in the water.

no defo patches ! on patches,someones tried very hard but wasnt a competent enough in the diy market ! didnt mask up or clean and rub down and key so patches are a bit loose ! and new so wouldnt like to trust them,but on closer inspection their worth the time to repair properly the tubes themselfs are ok

Suffulk Sailing in or near Ipswitch did a nice repair on my BWM 18, 10 years ago it was the same problem where the tubes dragged in the water underway.

Or there is a mobile guy here in Kent you could bring it to / he might come up to you.
