+15m RIBS. Is there any reason for them?

Hi all,

I'm new to the forum and trying to understand what, or if, there is any need for large size RIBs.

I've been looking at the SACS Strider 19 and I'm wondering what benefits it has over a traditional rigid hull yacht.

Basically is there any reason to get a 15m+ RIB?

All comments would be appreciated

Regards,

McRib.

Ribcraft & Redbay regularly build +15m ribs for commercial use. Comparing a 15m rib to a traditional yacht is like comparing a, umm, err....rib to a yacht! They are 2 completely separate beasts with different characteristics & applications.
