100mph boat, is it a rib?

Article says it has inflatable tubes.

Looks like the boat off top gear

Why, are you thinking of entering it in the Lymington rib race http://rib.net/forum/showthread.php?t=31897 ?

I'm not sure of the Telegraph's claim that it's the "fastest boat ever built" ???

tis the same as that P1 boat, the name of which escapes me. The inflatable bits are small tubes on the sides near the back which are supposed to help a bit with stability or something. You can just see the end poking out from the spray.

Says (British-designed vessel) I understood the XSR being the big brother of the XS 2000 Buzzi hull we race! (Ex Sunseekers P-1 boat)
Buzzi hull under the Sunseeker banner.
Italian designed.

Yeah, it'll be a Buzzi. The SBS guys have been working with Buzzi on a few projects.

Yes I agree but then again it also looks similar to the old Cougar boats from many years ago. They built something very similar for use in places like dubai.

Couldn't find a link but found a good discussion on the old Cougars.
