This takes some balls!

So, I have been a member on here for a while now, and really enjoy the camaraderie (despite the fact that this is only my second thread!).

I thought I should make my second thread special..and explain why the title mentions balls!

I work in a small team of Project Managers at BSKYB (not very exciting so far), and we are taking part in Movember. This includes the girls.

Before you recoil in horror at how they may be involved; they have agreed to wear a fake moustache in return for cash; the more money the more days they wear it...even if the have a meeting with the MD!

While you do not know me personally, I am sure you recognise a good cause, and so I would be grateful for any support in our efforts. We recently broke the £1000 mark, and hope to raise much more.

In the words of one of my team mates; do you have the balls to take a boat out on the water? If you want to keep them, please sponsor Movember!

The link can be found here: Movember United Kingdom - Home

Many thanks,

Damian

What is the cause? The link is more confusing than your post.

OK. A friend has just explained what it is all about.

Sorry everyone, you are right. I should give you some background to what Movember is about.

During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces in the UK and around the world. The aim of which is to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health, specifically prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

As i said, we are really trying to push the boat out (pun intended), and raise as much as we can. I know Charity is a very private thing for many people, but welcome any support you can give.

Already on it!

Cookee's Movember page

As a Testicular cancer survivor (since '89) I can assure you early detection makes a difference!
