Hello all, I've been lurking around and gleaning info from this forum for a little while now and figured I'd finally introduce myself. I am completely new to RIBs, well, actually new to any type of boat. I recently purchased an Avon Searider 5.4 from a buddy and really love it. Originally my main use for the boat was going to be scuba diving in the ocean or up north in Puget Sound but have found that just cruising around the rivers here in Portland is a blast too.
It's good to see a few other Americans are here too to share their stateside knowledge. It can be a little lonely over here being a ribber.

Hey Richard, I figured I might have met a few people here before.

I'm hoping to make it back up there within a couple of weeks. Definitely heading out of Tillamook Bay on 9/21, weather permitting of course. The ocean is practically tide/currentless that day and Three Arch Rocks NWR opens back up to boats within 500'. I haven't dove it yet but am exicted to try it. Cape Lookout is nearby too. Want to bring the Zodiac down?
