Hi from Wales

Hello all,

I am a new member from Cardiff and will be doing my boating in west Wales near Cardigan. I have been messing around in anything that floats since I was a kid from canoes, to rag and sticks and powered boats. My last two RIBs were a 16' Rimini and a 10' RIB with a 15hp Johnson. Great Fun. That was stolen two years ago and I have just bought a Zodiac Pro 9 Man, owner called it a 490 but I don't know if that was correct, with a Mariner 50 Efi.

Can't wait to get it on the water where I will be using it for a bit of exploring, fishing and water skiing.

I am also a bit of a tinkerer so I am looking to do a few things on the boat.

Dumb question, but the 10' rib wasnt a Flatacraft F3 with a Johnson 15 GT 2 stroke was it?

Hi Maximus - I like all Taffs am mad on rugby but would never crow. However, I did miss our last match against England can you let me know what happened?

Hi Nos4r2 - No it was an unknown make. Nice boat though. We recovered it last winter on a nearby beach. O/b missing and full of holes. Some locals said that some lads had been making a pain of themselves in it and were well known locally as trouble makers. The police.....well we all know the rest

Not sure if you know, but the range area has changed /extended quite significantly recently.... They are clamping down on movement within....there's a leaflet kicking about which you may find useful

Our Pac (Grey /black) RIB will be around Fishguard mostly and the D Class / Red RIB around Cardigan....

Hi Razorbills, sorry for the slow reply but been away.

I'll be interested to see the changes to the range. If it means more business and employment I am up for it whatever the restrictions. Family have had a place in Aberporth for over 40 years so I grew up with many of the true locals.

I will also keep an eye out for your boats.

Maybe catch up over the summer hope it's a good one for you.
