Good morning from NI

Good morning folks

Like some of the others I have been directed to this website whilst browsing for boats and have finally decided to register. I have been boating for a number of years mainly fishing around Lough Swilly, Co Donegal in my Warrior 175 which I have loved.

With three young sons, I too have decided to get a rib to have some fun and to get out around the headland to explore North Donegal from the sea.

I have done some research and I am thinking of a Redbay Stormforce 650. I would be interested to hear your views on whether this boat would be suitable or any others which may be better. Price range £15,000-20,000

Many thanks

David

Thanks Maximus, I'm looking forward to hearing of some for sale so that I can start to do just that.

RIBase
Morning & welcome to Ribnet. You have a healthy budget so you should have a good range of boats to look at. Finding the exact boat you want might be a challenge, it's not like buying second hand cars where there is a wealth of choice. You will inevitably have to compromise on either make/spec/ or price, unless you are very lucky.

Thanks Pikey, great to be finally registered. Already had a look at a couple of boats. I would obviously prefer to buy in Ireland due to travel etc but I am open to all arrangements.

As I am a complete novice, any advice on what I should be asking or looking specifically at when speaking to sellers?

Good Morning from Vancouver, I am brand new to RIB net and am just getting familiar with the structure of the forums etc. I just bought a 'project' 733 and I need lots of parts...I'm hoping I can get some help and suggestions for sources. I'm specifically looking for a center console and leaning post initially...then who knows??
