Zodiac pressure gauge

Is the pressure gauge supplied by Zodiac suppose to break the seal in the valve?

The way I am using it it does not and only reads pressure as air is being pumped in with the foot pump. Making it difficult to get an accurate reading. Am I doing this wrong?

I have the same problem. Bravo gauge in the valve with foot pump connected but can't get a boat air pressure reading. This is on a '79 MK2 Zodiac. I think it must be possible to modify the valve connection to allow the boat pressure to be read by the gauge.

Regards

Adam

Most pumps with attached pressure gauges only read while pumping and valve is open, not a single psi when shut. What type of valve do you have in current use the Zodiac pin/flap ones or the bigger ones that Phil's has. If pin/flap ones will need to get the old yellow pressure gauge push type.

Same issue with my bombard. Pending on valve type but this might do the job, possible fitting to zodiac/bombard semi-recessed valves

Havent tested it though, will sure cost a fortune...
