What Knot not to use??

Hi there,

This is possibly the most silly question ever asked

My boat bag has disappeared

So my solution is to tie mooring rope round the boat to keep it compressed but what knot do i use????

Thanks in advance

Put a loop in one end (bowline or figure 8) then put the rope round the rolled up boat with the free end of the rope through the loop. Pull tight and secure with a couple of half hitches.

Agree with John.. if Im putting it in a bag..

However as I have a 6ft painter secured to the front bow ring of the inflatable at all times ..I roll the boat’s transom up to the bow..wrap the painter round the rolled up boat..put its loose end through the bow ring.. pull tight to compress everything .. then a couple of half hitches to secure.

Not a rocket science but works well for me

Same thing really, except your rope's permanently attached
