If I were guessing it would be and electric outboard powered by mains on a long bungey power cable that retracts for the voyage home.

Well a bit of very brand new bungee and a bit of square tube aluminum (or maybe stainless). Either a corrosion resistant harpoon launcher or a quick attach/detach tie down system for the bow.

I am full of usless ideas ! I been stopped fitting my new fender system...these were big boards with nails hammer through... to teach WAFI's that RIB's are not fenders! Great idea untill you wanted to deploy them and flipped them over the tubs ....back to drawing board....
