Depends on your valve and adapter. The HR valves on my boat will prevent the turbine stage from filling the tubes if you don't somehow open the valve. The result is the Bravo pump goes directly to piston mode, and takes forever.

The cross-pin holds the valve open; I assume the ears on the adapter that Paddlers posted do a similar job by pressing directly on the diaphragm (rather than the center valve actuator that the cross-pin pushes.)

OP is not using a Bravo pump; it's likely a fairly low pressure inflator which won't generate enough pressure to overcome the spring pressure holding the valve closed.

Thanks you are probably right I managed to drill a hole and it did the trick although it doesn't inflate up to 3hp.

The Bravo pump is way over my price range so far as I am still in the phase of buying all safety and other boats accessories, but I will consider a better pump in the future. For now hand pumping the last few psi will do the trick.

All I can add at this point is that my adaptor for my Honwave which works perfectly on the Honwave wouldn't pump up the Chinese sib but the one with the lugs did.

Your adapter is correct, but your pump is simply not up to the job. They are not designed for sibs and they dont have the power needed to open the valves.

Buy a Bravo, its the best money you will ever spend.

Well I agree with paddlers as I have a Chinese sib for my render and the adapter has the two 'lugs' on it and when I broke it I tried the usual HR adapters and they did not open the valve for inflation. I had to send to China for replacement. I also agree need a better pump.
