HI chris, the bare boat is 38 kgs and floor board and bottle screws for tension is 19 kg .then oars and matrass 9 kgs , i also wieghed the anchor ,chain, and 100mtrs of 10mm line at 7 kg,then flares , first aid , tool kit for engine and fire extiguisher at 3.5 kgs, and tohatsu 8 hp 4stroke engine 38 kgs
total 114 .5 kgs excluding fuel but i can go all day on a couple of galls. the standard avon 3.40 which its based on is 36 kg boat only and 16 kg for the floor , hope this helps martin.

HI matt yes it is puts THE FUN back into boating ,the first time i took her out was blowing a f5 with 1 meter short swells at the bottom of the slip last march ,only boat out that day , handled well especially when running along a wave or trough.

Not too much more than my Avon S250 then. I think when the opportunity arises I know what my next SIB will be .

Hi Martin,

When I weighed it last year, I made it 34kg for the bare boat (with transom wheels fitted) and 19kg for the floorboards.

My weighing method wasn't particularly accurate, but the figures seem reasonable based on the effort required to hump the boat around.

I am surprised that the floorboards seem a similar weight to the Y boat's though.
