Mercury Quicksilver 3.1 with 9.9 Yamaha

All not very often I need advice, but I've never had a small inflatable. I've contacted the seller and will buy if it is as described. Any advice would be appreciated before I hand over the cash

Haven't had a quicksilver/Mercury marine myself yet.
But they are suppose to be very good

Obviously with any sib I check the transom isn't soft and the tubes look in general good health. With air floor just make sure it doesn't have any abnormal bulges.

Make sure it's fully inflated when you go out in it and I think it would make a good package.

Those yellow stains comes of easily enough with a tube cleaner. And some sunshine.

Handy little launch trailer to. Although I prefer launch wheels attached to transom. Either works well.

On the face of it it looks good at that price 13 year old boat some who know have said 10 years for PVC gurnard's got one over 10 years still in good nick.
Not much info on the engine for me or pics but the engine in good nick with the service cost is worth the biggest part on the price 9.9/15 fetching good money on eBay. Trailer would cost over £100.
The bad bit for me is air floor if it's not in good condition

I'd want to see more images of the OB... under the hood from both sides and the prop close up etc. Also ask if the boat has any signs of seams coming unglued... with a 13yr old PVC boat this is always possible.

It does all look very clean though... as does his property which is always a good sign.

Thanks for the advice, I've offered to buy it outright but think they have had a lot of interest and want to run the auction. The engine is in Abersoch land and sea having a service at the moment

What you can see of the engine looks good just he doesn't seem to be pushing that anywhere near as much as the boat as fenlander says tidy garden with kids toys chances are its all ok if he's been taking them out
good luck

Looks like a nice package. The boat's clearly had some use, but doesn't look a wreck. Not much info about the engine. Assuming you see no obvious faults and the seller seems straight, it looks like a reasonable purchase.

Most of it is common sense. Look at the places that get the most wear. Do they look worn? Are all the bits there? Does he have paperwork for the engine?

Interesting that he's photographed it the "wrong" way round on the trolley, and without the engine in sight. Is he selling it for someone else?

Do not pay before you've seen it with your own eyes at the place of purchase. A common internet scam is to post a "poached" picture of someone else's item, try to get a deposit or full payment up front, then disappear.

For comparison: I play concertina, and I have often seen the "same instrument" (i.e. the same photo of an instrument) in adverts numerous times.
