Inflatable boat transom saver ?

Hi guys
In order avoid lifting my 40 kgs engine 5 times when I go for a boating trip , thought about making a little transom saver as per diagrams I have seen.
Is it a good idea to leave an engine on transom when transporting 25 miles with a transom saver has anyone any experience of this set up .
Thanks
