Dag Pike - Inflatables

Just thought I would post up a recommendation for this - having seen it mentioned in an old topic I bought a copy last week.

Really superb book - a few years old now and things have moved on in some areas but it's worth it just for the detailed section on handling a small SIB/RIB generally but especially in rough water, following seas etc.

Despite the title it covers RIBs as much as SIBs and goes into good detail regarding history, construction, materials of both types as well as useful sections on repair, equipment, launching, transporting and some basics of navigation.

Really recommended - not sure if there is anything else out there to compare but it is crying out for a big full colour update. Search around for prices - I was lucky to find an ex-library copy in great condition for £5 from a Amazon dealer but some are asking silly money.
