It's a civilian model, tho it may get a lick of paint to make it look authentic. Were the military ones green?

I meant the outboard is civilian, pretty sure the boat is ex m.o.d.

The one with the mariner 40hp? That looks good value. That boat looks a lot newer than ours, Maybe ours is an early eighties model?

yes engines normally dark olive green all over including the inside parts ,,think the engines are the same as the civvy ones ,,o.m.c. evinrude/johnson though some have a modified exhaust silencer on the leg ,,,,hopefully someone on here will have had hands on experience with the boat and engine ...if not ..i will be speaking to person in a few weeks time who looked after boats and engines for the army ill ask him ,,mart

Excellent. Think we are guna need a few bits for it soon like the original oars and bench, so any help locating them is much appreciated. Have to crack open the olive green paint! There are a some bits on the boat that I'm not sure about, so I'll post some pics and see if anyone can help. This is definately the place to be for anything RIB related!

if you are going to use it out at sea ,take a yellow or bright orange dayglo sack with you to go over the engine ,,,,if you breakdown or get lost the local lifeboat will never find you looking like that lol.

Just invested in a dayglo orange waterproof sack thats quite big any camo properties will be lost.

Looks like a fantastic deal to be had there!!! Something like this should have a considerably longer future life expectancy than any brand new PVC SIB.
