Bombard Aerotec 3.8M

From my earlier post about Southampton Boat Show

The ideal solution appeared to be a Bombard SIB with an air deck that formed a very deep V hull shape, the problem being the only one they produce is 4M which would be a little too large.
Really liked this Bombard.

The deep V hull shape with the shaped air deck is a great alternative to a RIB in this size boat.

Edit
Should have done a search first, appears there are a few on here that have one.
Anyone selling?

Think it was Mat H who loved his one mate. Worth a word in his lug hole?

Bombard 380

You will not be dissapointed with the aerotec. I took mine out of Portland Saturday there were some good swells off of the south entrance, superb fun!

I was looking at a putting a 25 on it but it seems well balanced with the 15.

I've got one, and I reckon that it would give a regular solid floored SIB a run for its money. Definitely a step up from the conventional air decks.

I particularly like the extra freeboard that you get from the V floor, but it is a bit less easy to secure things to the deck than a wooden or ali one!

I have a 25hp on mine and it's pretty swift. I did try it with a 15hp but reckoned it was a bit under powered - it wouldn't plane with 3 adults and 2 kids on board.

With the 25 it's too much of a handful for me to let the kids drive, so I'm planning to get a 5hp for pootling about. I am quite tempted by a Torqeedo but really can't justify it though.

Thanks Guys, unfortunately I can't justify the cost of a new one at the moment, but have another, less suitable, alternative in the offing at the moment.

Does the Aerotec need a short shaft or longshaft engine?
