I think so to but not at any speed. A 4hp Vs 6hp is a world of difference in my opinion.

I know someone with a hydroforce ?mirovo? They are cat C and seem to get good reviews. But I'm not sure my money would be going there.

That is the boat I have. I bought it as a tender for my sports cruiser but also use it as a sib. I am quite pleased with it for £450 bought last year. Not sure how long it will last though but it seems ok.

I am sure others on here will not like it. The truth is though it is half the price of the more established brands. I think it is a good boat to see if you like the hobby. If not you have not spent too much. It handles well on the water

I wouldn't buy one new myself as it's used price would be very little being a unknown make. Allthough saying that. There is people on this forum with Jago boats which are happy enough with them. And if one comes up in a package with motor I would be tempted to go look.

It is more the new price that is the selling point and to be honest if it lasts a few years and you have used it I think you easily get your monies worth. I am in the second year of mine and I have used it about 15 times so far and I paid £450 so while I would like it to last much longer and I think it will I don't feel it owes me much

This is my Jago next to my first little Waveco which was my first tender. The Jago is on the right. You get a lot for your money. I would say if you have a limited budget go for it

I looked to find the Jago but it is out of stock under its name but this I am sure is it on ebay. Gone up a little but still a good price

Re engine size: I've a 3.8m Excel (second hand but the support from them on email has been great) and bought a 3hp 2 stroke Johnson recently to take to the Lakes. It would plane with me on board but not with me, the missus and two four year olds.

It was also really noisy compared to the 4 stroke I usually use, which was more of an issue than the speed tbh.
